The Power Pup Downloader for the 7.3L Powerstroke is new from Bully Dog Technologies. Bully Dog has merged their excellent diesel tuning knowledge into this small and easy to use downloader. The downloader plugs in through the OBDII port and gives you the option to download 50hp, 75hp or 120hp programs (on 99.5-03 models). During dyno testing on a 2000 Ford 7.3L Powerstroke the downloader added 60hp and 131 ft.-lbs on the 50hp setting, 78hp and 150 ft.-lbs on the 75hp setting and 119hp and 202 ft-lbs on the 120hp setting. On older 94-98 Ford Powerstroke's the maximum horsepower seen on the dyno is around 60hp. Power Pup will also remove the speed-limiter (99-newer only) and can erase engine Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) on all models.

Controls
With the introduction of the Evolution, Edge has entered a new
realm of the aftermarket diesel industry. Contained in the tiny
module is the capability not only to improve drivability and
performance, but also the ability to display and clear trouble
codes, remove the speed and rev limiters and adjust power levels.
The Evolution connects directly into the OBDII port underneath
the dash. Once connected the stock software is downloaded and
the new Evolution software is uploaded onto the trucks ECM.
All modifications are done during this process and can be just
as easily switched back to stock at any time. The Evolution
was created with a small lightweight design that allows personalized
control with the touch of a button. With a backlit LCD screen,
seeing and reading codes has been made simple. The unit not
only displays codes, but also displays a description of what
these codes mean, which eliminates copying the code down and
then finding a manual to look them up. |

7.3 Liter "EZ"
The Ford Power Edge EZ is installed underneath the hood and
plugs into the IPC sensor. It only takes a couple of minutes
to install and features 4 power settings. The Ford Power Edge
EZ produces 50 hp and 100 lb-ft of torque, and it greatly improves
throttle response, drivability and towing performance. The Ford
Power Edge EZ can also be run in conjunction with a chip, or "stacked." When used in conjunction with a chip, the
Power Edge Edge EZ provides 25-35 hp above and beyond what the
chip produces. The Ford Power Edge EZ fits '94 + Powerstrokes
regardless of computer code. The Ford Power Edge EZ is waterproof
and mounts underneath the hood. |

The 6 Position 4-Bank Chips are designed to increase horsepower and torque. The chip settings include a stock setting, 50, 75 and 100 hp positions. The two additional settings include a high idel setting to increase RPM's for cold weather starts and a Valet setting that returns the truck to stock while adding a 70 mph speed governor. A setting for theft control could be used in place of one of the settings if desired.
